Mrs. Friend Language Arts/Creative Writing

Dear Parents,

     Hello, my name is Andrea Friend and I will be your child’s language arts or creative writing teacher this year.  We can all look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences as the year progresses.

     I graduated from the University of Oklahoma, and then later graduated with a masters in administration from NSU.  Yes, I will be cheering those SOONERS on this year.  This will be my 29th year to be working and teaching for the Owasso Public Schools.  Most of those 29 years have been spent teaching language arts to the best students in the state.  I have two children of my own.  I have a daughter that is an OCU graduate and a son that is a junior at UCO in Edmond.  I am also known as Gigi to my only grandson.  I am dedicated to making this a busy, productive, and terrific year for all of my students.

     I am looking forward to a great year that will be shared with you and your child.  I will expect the best from your child and they have the right to expect the best that I can do for her or him.  Together we can make this a fantastic year! J
