Meet Mrs. Farley

My name is Jennifer Farley and it will be a pleasure getting to know you this year! I was first hired at Barnes Elementary in December of 1996. My life has been so blessed with rich experiences and amazing people. It has all made me the teacher I am today.

My family is a busy one. My husband Shane and I have 3 boys. Tate is a Sophomore at ORU where he is fulfilling a dream of playing Division 1 soccer and studying Business with a minor in Pre-Law. Lane is a Sophomore at OHS and currently in a program called Career Connection where he is interning at CrossfitBlk for half the day, and Wyatt is at the 8th grade Center and a Ram golfer. They are the joy in my life. My husband passed away suddenly on April 27, 2015. He was a Project Manager at Matrix Service New Tank Division and had a passion for music. We miss him terribly. I love to create...DIY, crafts, cards, I love to read, cook, go for walks, and I love to garden. Our boys are very involved in sports and I love watching them get the most out of life! My (older) sister, Mrs. Hopper, is the librarian here...bonus if you know this random fact about me when I ask the class :)

My favorite quote is "When our depravity meets His divinity, it is a BEAUTIFUL COLLISION."- the David Crowder Band

My favorite color is charcoal grey.

My favorite food is Mexican and Chocolate.

My favorite musicians (besides Shane Farley) are James Taylor, Ryan Montbleau, Ben Rector, Fleetwood Mac, Alison Krauss, and Colbie Caillat.

I joined a book club over two years ago and it is one of my favorite things I have ever done for me. My favorite book that I have read in the past year is 'Through the Eyes of a Lion' by Levi Lusko. I will likely read it several more times and reference it often.

I have been on 3 mission trips in the states. I have vacationed in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Cayman Islands, New York City, Washington DC, beaches along the east coast, and various other spots on the map. Our family's favorite getaway is Big Cedar Lodge!

I have lived in Owasso my whole life, except for a year when my husband's job moved us to Colorado!! It was beautiful!!
